If you notice that your CAT laser is flashing or not turning on, you need to replace the batteries.
To avoid possible errors when changing the 3 AG5 button cells here is our additional note:
- Please double check the correct installation direction (see manual / pictures / tool grip sticker).
- Unfortunately some customer do not used the battery-pack tube again after chancing the
batteries. (It is important to use the isolation sleeve.) - Switch on the device: Please turn in the battery compartment screw hand-tight and without
play! - Switch off the device: Turn the battery compartment screw back one turn!
Troubleshooting:
If the sleeve is lost, you can make an “insulating roll” yourself. To do this, use a paper or foil cutout with
a side length of 24 mm x 14 mm. Form this into a roll with a height of 14 mm and insert it into the screw.
Now insert the 3 button cells
If the insulating sleeve needs to be replaced, a piece of paper can be used
to perform the same function.

After production, every device is subjected to our final inspection.
The maximum deviation/tolerance is < 0.05%. If handled correctly, as is usual with measuring
devices, a subsequent defect is almost impossible:
The vibration-resistant lasers are designed for a service life of 10.000 hours.
If handled carefully and protected from moisture, the function will last for a very long time.
There are no sources of error such as switches, soldering points or oxidizing materials.
However, if it falls, the flatness of the test surface may have suffered. Please then check the flat surface
of the device used for the measurement.
